Introduction

I earned my Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience in 2006 from Syungkyunkwan University in Seoul, Korea and trained as a postdoctoral fellow and scientific associate at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health, University of Toronto. Since my Ph.D. I conducted several projects that aimed at understanding higher human cognitive function and brain plasticity using multimodal neuroimaging methods combined with non-invasive brain stimulation techniques (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation). My study aimed at first, identifying the mechanisms of human cognitive function and brain plasticity in healthy and patient groups and second, to be able to adjust them for the improving pathological condition.
